Dennis M. Cann Sr.

Dennis Michael Cann, Sr., age 68, passed away on January 2, 2018. Born June 18, 1949, to William and Stella Cann, in Camden, NJ. He is survived by his two children, Caroline and Dennis Jr., and two grandchildren, Alex and Stella. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Shirley Huot.

Dennis loved the outdoors and working with his hands. He was a skilled carpenter for many years in New Jersey and purchased a house in Maryland to renovate as a retirement project. He enjoyed crabbing, cooking, and being on the water.

He was a graduate of Cherry Hill High School West in Cherry Hill, NJ. In his youth, he traveled across the continental U.S. and Europe, living for a time in the Florida Keys and Seattle, WA. He eventually returned to NJ to married twice, first to Mary Lou Stadtler in 1981, with whom he had his two children, and then to Diane Kelly in 2003.

Memorial service will be held 11 am, Saturday, January 27th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Ave., Merchantville. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service.
