Dorothea Z. (Zerbola) Kelchner

Dorothea Z. Kelchner (nee Zerbola), affectionately known as “Maudie” by many, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 with her family at her side. She was 99. Born & raised in Danbury, CT, she was a longtime Merchantville resident. Some of her most favorite things were her bridge clubs, time spent at Lake Candlewood, the first snow fall of each year, and her beloved family.

Mother of the late Elena Ifkovits, she is survived by her daughter, Liz Martino (Tom); three grandchildren, Jennifer (George), TJ (Heather), Michael (Sarah); eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

  A service to celebrate her life will be held 11 am, Saturday, Feb. 4th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10 am until time of service.
