George A. Wille III

George A. Wille III, a lifelong Merchantville resident, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Marlton. He was 95. A retired US Navy Commander, he served in WW II and Korea, George later worked for many years as Registrar for Rutgers University, Camden. He was also a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and a dedicated volunteer in the restoration and preservation of the Tall Ship, A.J. Meerwald.

Husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Kelleher), he is survived by his loving daughter, Jane Wille and her husband Hal Gard; and many beloved cousins and friends.
