Geraldine A. Schifferdecker

Geraldine “Gerry” (nee Jordan) Schifferdecker, 91, of Medford passed away peacefully on January 12, 2018 following a brief illness.

A graduate of Merchantville High School, she became the beloved wife of the late George Schifferdecker.  Gerry was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville, served as a Boy Scout Den Mother, and worked as an office administrator and in real-estate. She and George spent much of their retirement in Rangeley, ME. For the last 10 years Gerry called Medford Leas CCRC her home where she was an avid bridge player and regularly attended the Sunday Vespers.

Loving mother to Glenn (Joan) of Medford, NJ and Don (Patricia) of Cape May Court House, NJ. Doting “Nana” to Von, Emily and Erin and the late Jonathan.  A kind and devoted friend to many in the region and beyond.  She will be remembered and celebrated by all.

Her funeral service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, January 17th at the First Presbyterian Church, 10 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. A viewing will be held at the church from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gerry’s name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (www.mda.org) would be appreciated.
