Gertrude "Trudi" Whitman

Trudi Whitman, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on January 10, 1953 in Philadelphia, Trudi dedicated her life to her family and her career as a compassionate Social Worker for the Gloucester County Board of Social Services. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, making baby blankets and going to store to find her next project.

Trudi was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Whitman Sr. She was also a nurturing mother to daughter Jaime (her husband Rommel), sons; Sean, and the late Arthur Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Alexander, Athan, Kyley and the late Tyler. Her brother Brian Righter, his wife Dorothy and children, also survives her, along with the memory of her late mother, Gertrude Righter, and a host of friends she considered family.

Known for her loving nature, Trudi's friendly demeanor touched the lives of all who knew her. Her unwavering kindness and commitment to her family and community will be deeply missed.

Graveside service will be held 12 pm, Saturday, April 13th at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.
