Albert W. Ferrante, age 79, of Haddon Heights passed away Friday, July 07, 2017. Originally from Camden, he owned and operated Vincent’s Barbershop on Market Street for over 65 years where he was known as “Albert the Barber.” His many volunteer efforts included the Army National Guard, Boy Scouts leader and Scout Master, and longtime member of the Artisans. Albert was also a lifelong member, Church Warden, and Vestryman of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Camden. His longtime dedication to his local community and church was proof that he was a humble man with a large spirit.
Son of the late Vincent & Louise Ferrante, he is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years, Linda (nee Filosa); three beloved sons, Richard Ferrante (Patty), Anthony Putz, Gary Joseph (Dr. Katie Stoedter); three cherished grandchildren, Richie Ferrante, Cassie Ferrante, Jessica Nocito; a brother, Reynolds Ferrante (Joan); two nephews, Fritz and Franz Ferrante; many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated 11 am, Thursday, July 13th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 422 Market St., Camden. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until time of service. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, PO Box 1551 Camden, NJ 08101.
