Kathleen “Kay” Rudderow (nee Donahue), of Pennsauken passed peacefully in her sleep July 12, 2018.

Beloved wife to John (Jack) Rudderow.  Loving mother to John E. Rudderow (Diane), Theresa (Terry) Rudderow-Lovold (Tom), Paul Rudderow, Marie Rudderow, and David Rudderow (Kim).  Inspiring grandmom to nineteen grandchildren and GG to five (soon to be six) great-grandchildren.

Kay was number nine in a clan of eleven. Kay is predeceased by her loving parents, Charles W. and Marie Donahue. She is also predeceased by her sisters; Doris Shetzline (Samuel), Martina Jane Zeck (Joseph), Dorothy Dawson (William), Alice Shubert (Oscar), Patricia Binning (Joseph), Eleanor Dion (Raymond), Elizabeth Stevens (John), and her brother Charles W. Donahue Jr. (Greta).  Kay is survived by two brothers, John Donahue (Joyce) and Paul Donahue (Malee).

Beloved matriarch of both the Donahue and Rudderow clans, Kay is survived by hundreds of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kay was a community volunteer during all phases of her life.  Starting with PTA, scouts, and her children’s schools and most recently she spent 30 years helping to restore and promote the Griffith Morgan House (Circa 1693). Kay was also the recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. award for community service.

Kay has requested that a tree be planted on the Griffith Morgan House site as a remembrance to her.  The family would like to have friends and family join us in celebrating Kay’s life when the tree is planted.  We will announce details of the celebration once a date has been determined.  A small private service will be held at the Pennsauken County Club.

In lieu of flowers, Kay requests that donations be made to either Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice or the Griffith Morgan House so they can continue their wonderful work. For more information and condolences please visit www.gaskillbrown.com
