Adelaide M. Porch

Adelaide M. Porch (nee Simon) passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023 at the age of 89. Of Pennsauken, NJ. She was the beloved wife of 71 years of Gerald Porch. Loved by daughters Sherri Rusk (Edward) and Judy Leone (Peter). Proud grandmother of granddaughters Megan Atkinson (Aaron), Brittany Pursel (Nicholas), Kate Leone and Mariana Leone and of great grandchildren Joshua and Juliana Atkinson, and Savannah Pursel. Caring daughter of the late Harry and Marion Simon. Dear sister of the late Isabel Morris, Sue Mullin and Harry Simon Jr.  Adelaide will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Adelaide was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville.  As a young woman she was very active in the Woman’s Club of Merchantville, NJ, a leading service organization in South Jersey.  She was a devoted homemaker for her husband and children.  Later in life she worked in retail sales at Strawbridge and Clothier where she developed many close friendships.  She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday September 2nd from 10-11 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church, 7 E. Maple Ave, Merchantville, NJ 08109. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday. Interment will be private.
