Christina Woollens, of Cherry Hill, passed away on November 26, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on July 1, 1970, Christina's life was a testament to kindness, a journey marked by her devotion to family, friends, and the simple joys that colored her world.
Christina was a cherished member of a large family, surrounded by cousins who will deeply miss her presence. Bob, Katie, and Adrienne, among many others, remember her as a constant source of warmth and support. She was the beloved niece of her uncles and aunts, including Uncle Mike, Bob, and Aunts Denise and Gloria. Preceded in death by her parents, Flossie and Eric, Christina experienced profound loss early in life, with her mother passing when she was just 17. Her father's passing a little over three years ago was another moment of sorrow in her life. Yet, through these hardships, she found strength and comfort in her step-mother, Rennie, and her adored grandmother, Lorene Pliszka, affectionately known as Granny Googles, who was her favorite person in the entire world.
An alumna of West Chester University, Christina's academic achievements were only the beginning of a life filled with professional fulfillment and community involvement. She dedicated many years to Penn Terminals, where she excelled as an office manager.
Christina's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid cook, delighting in the creation of meals that brought people together. Her love for cats was unparalleled, especially for her cherished Kiki, who was more than a pet but a true companion. Her favorite color, purple, was a reflection of her vibrant personality, and her enthusiasm for movies was well-known among her friends and family. Christina's heart was pure, and her spirit was generous, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Described by those who loved her as loving, kind, and selfless, Christina's approach to life was one of unwavering positivity and care for others. Her ability to listen, support, and uplift those around her was a rare gift that made her truly special. Her absence will be felt deeply, but the memories of her love and kindness will continue to inspire and comfort those she has left behind.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Thursday, December 5th from 12 to 1 pm at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Interment will be private.
