Debra Crawford Obituary

Debra L. Crawford, long time Pennsauken resident passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, in Pennsauken. Born on November 3, 1962, Debby's life was a testament to her loving nature, faith-filled spirit, and friendly demeanor, which touched the lives of all who knew her.

Debby's early years were spent in the warmth of her family, guided by the loving hands of her parents, Leeland and Dorothy Hummel, and alongside her sister, Barbara Hummel. Though they preceded her in death, the values they instilled in her shone brightly throughout her life. A dedicated and hardworking individual, Debby spent over three decades as a manager at Subaru of America.

Debby's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. As a devout Christian, she lived her life with grace and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a word of encouragement. Her faith was her guiding light, and she shared it generously with those around her.

Her love for her family was unparalleled. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Crawford, and her daughter, Debra Crawford. Her brother, Lee Hummel. Debby's nieces, Jennifer Long and Barbara Richelson, and nephews, Lee Hummel, David Richelson, and Elliot Richelson, will also hold dear the memory of their kind and caring aunt.

Debby's interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. She had an abiding love for flowers and rock music, finding joy and solace in the beauty of nature and the rhythm of a good song. Floating in the ocean's embrace and spending time at her cherished mountain property in Pennsylvania were among her favorite pastimes, providing her with a sense of peace and contentment.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, May 31st, from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. A memorial service will follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (www.komen.org) Debby's family urges family and friends to get their regularly scheduled mammograms. Doing so would have given her many more years.
