Dorothy J. "June" Flynn, former longtime Merchantville resident and a cherished matriarch and beacon of kindness, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on July 28, 1924, June's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service, leaving a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
June was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew, and her dear son, Gary Flynn. Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her devoted sons, Greg Flynn, Brad Flynn and his wife Donna Kaufman; and her loving ex-daughter-in-law, Janice Mathers. June's spirit will also live on through her adored grandchildren, Kirsten Corcoran and her husband Jason, Lauren Flynn, and Brian Flynn with his wife Raelynn. Her three great-grandchildren, Madalaine, Lukas, and Reagan, brought her immeasurable joy and will continue to be guided by the lessons and love she imparted.
For many years, June served as a parts clerk for American Honda, where her meticulous nature and warm personality made her a favorite among her colleagues. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment to her faith and community. As a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville, June was deeply involved in church activities. She served on the Altar Guild with grace and devotion, and her selfless nature shone brightly as she volunteered in St. Claire's Thrift Shop, helping those in need with both necessities and a smile.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Thursday, March 20th from 10 am to 11 am at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville.
