Dorothy M. (Rotz) Moebius

Dorothy M. Moebius (nee Rotz) longtime Pennsauken resident passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was 86. Born and raised in Port Richmond, Philadelphia, she was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, and remained a devout Catholic. Throughout her life, Dorothy loved spending time down the shore with her family and friends.  She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her 14 grandchildren, and attending their special events.  Dorothy infused energy into any room, whether by her quick wit or by singing and dancing to a classic hit. In her later years, she enjoyed nothing more than going out to dinner with her friends, Anita and Stella, at their favorite spot, Byrne’s Tavern, and finishing off the evening with an Irish coffee in hand.
Wife of the late William Moebius; sister of the late Laura Miller, John Rotz and Jimmy Rotz, she is survived by her three beloved children, Lisa Cornely (Frank), Andrea Racobaldo (Dominic), Mark Graff (Katie); fourteen loving grandchildren, Frank, Bill (Sarah), Maureen, Matthew, Thomas, Alaina, Laura, Dominic, Andrew, Cara, Abbie, Maura, Mark, Emma; two cherished great-grandchildren, Caroline, Billy; two caring siblings, Helen Gangemi, Ed Rotz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, February 17th from 9 am to 10:15 am at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Peter RC Church, 43 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment in New Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia.
