Eileen M. O'Brien, formerly of Pennsauken, known for her intelligence, warmth, and quick wit, passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on October 21, 1938, Eileen lived a life marked by hard work, devotion, and deep love for the people around her. She worked her whole life beginning at the age of 15, and later retired as a secretary for United Engineers, where her dedication and professionalism were appreciated by all who knew her.

Eileen was the wife of the late Joseph O'Brien, and together they shared a life built on love and companionship. She was a cherished sister to Tommy, who is deceased, as well as Larry, Marie, Jeanne, Diane, and Kathy and her husband Gus. She also leaves behind numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with her dear cousins Frank, Terry, and Lynne; and her sister-in-law Barbara Egan. Eileen held a special place in her heart for her dear friend since childhood, Mary Jane; as well as Bobbie and Jeannie. and she was blessed with many other dear friends who remained close to her throughout the years.

A longtime member of St. Peter Senior Ministry, Eileen found comfort and fellowship in her faith and community. She was a vibrant presence wherever she went, and those who knew her will remember her as funny, friendly, and full of life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making others feel welcome and at ease. Eileen was also an avid golfer, and she enjoyed ceramics, both of which brought her joy and gave her opportunities to share time with others.

She especially loved her trips to Wildwood, where she would only stay in Room 320 at the Port Royal Hotel, a detail that became part of the charm and personality her loved ones treasured. Eileen was also known for always wearing hats or visors, a signature style that suited her perfectly and reflected her spirited nature. Above all else, she absolutely loved her family, and her devotion to them was evident in every part of her life.
