Isabelle Ferguson was born on May 10, 1941 to the late Kathleen and Charles Thomas in York, Pennsylvania. Isabelle received her education in the Camden City School System. She worked a series of odd jobs which always involved her helping others. Isabelle loved to dance & dress. She was known to follow the late “Butterball” from venue to venue. Wherever she went, she was the life of the party until her health failed her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her late husband, Emanuel Ferguson, her eight children, Ella Fisher, Emily (deceased), Kathleen Little (Melvin), Emanuel (deceased), Bernice, Frederick, Sylvester, and Keith. Her bonus daughter LaQuinta Law. Her siblings, Emma Lee Woodyard (Elmer, deceased), Jacob Fisher (Mary, deceased), Donald, Alice Chavis (deceased), and William (Paula). Her longtime companion, Frederick Simpson, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and in-laws. A special thank you to Bernice for helping Mommy transition peacefully and to Samaritan for the extra care and guidance through our family’s time of bereavement.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Sunday, January 3rd from 11 am to 1 pm at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ 08109.
