James P. Cahill

James P. Cahill, longtime Pennsauken Resident, passed away peacefully on the 13th of September, 2025. Born on November 29, 1947, James grew to be a man whose hands were as deft as his mind, heart as wide as the sea he loved to fish, and spirit as enduring as the wood he shaped. For over 41 years, he was the loving husband to his wife, Joan, a tender bond that was evident in every facet of their lives together. His legacy continues through the life of his daughter, Jeanette Williams, and her husband, Ed, as well as his adored grandchildren, Abigail and Peyton, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Cahill and was pre deceased by his parents James and Catherine Cahill, and his brother, Lawrence Cahill.

With the same passion and precision he applied to his family, James carved out a distinguished career as a Master Cabinet Maker. His work, known for its exceptional quality and attention to detail, can be found across the tri-state area, having left an indelible mark on the luxurious casinos of Atlantic City. As an esteemed member of the Cabinet Makers Union, he took pride in his work and the sense of community his profession provided.

An avid fisherman, James found serenity on the water, a pastime that was only enhanced by his love for boating. He was happiest with the sun on his face, a gentle breeze at his back, and a day spent in the quiet communion with nature.
