Joan D. Farnsworth of Mt. Laurel passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019. She was 77. Originally a longtime Pennsauken resident, Joan operated the family business, Duffy’s Garden Center in Westmont for much of her early life. She spent 25 years working at Wawa where she loved meeting and working with new people. But most importantly, Joan enjoyed living her life’s journey boating, camping, traveling and spending time on the beach.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert of over 57 years; four loving children, Allen Farnsworth (Rodney Pallanck), Bryon Farnsworth (Wendy), Debbie Brace (Gerald), Jay Farnsworth (Cynthia); seven cherished grandchildren, Megan, Nicole, Dylan, Jay, Amanda, Brittany, Caitlin; her caring godchildren, Jaci Morris and Franny Halsted; five dear siblings, Edith Hopkins, Ruth Skowronek, Mary Halsted, Catherine Erlbacher; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Joan was predeceased by her sister Margaret Duffy.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 am, Thursday at St. Peter RC Church, 43 West Maple Ave., Merchantville. Interment in Jesus, Bread of Life Cemetery will be private.
