Joyce Ann (Mason) Speckmann

Joyce Ann Speckmann (nee Mason) of Waxhaw, NC, formerly of Lake Harmony, PA and Pennsauken, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her immediate family on Friday April 10, 2026 at the age of 85 years. Beloved mother of Debra Lynn Franceschi (Keith) of Kitty Hawk, NC, Gary Keith Speckmann (Adele) of Cherry Hill, NJ and Karen Barnette (Steven) of Waxhaw, NC. Loving grandmother of Megan Wall, Lisa Adams, Zachary Franceschi, Benjamin Franceschi, Matthew Speckmann, Jonathan Barnette and Lauren Barnette. Dear great grandmother of Leah Wall, Ethan Wall, Allie Adams, Avery Adams, Hazel Franceschi and Crew Franceschi.

She is a graduate of Merchantville High School and South Jersey School of Business.  She focused on raising her young family and is remembered as a most amazing mother and homemaker.

Joyce went on to have a career in Insurance and Real Estate in both NJ and PA that spanned 35 years. Most recently retiring from Realty World-Long Realty, Blakeslee, PA in 2015.   She loved helping people and had a knack for turning clients into friends for life as a result of the care and help she provided.  She was loved for her warm, sweet, friendly nature by many.  Later in life, she still made friends by going for walks in her neighborhood ~ we have been amazed to find how many friends she made and how well-regarded she was by many neighbors.

She was a devoted, faithful Christian who attended Mt Pocono United Methodist Church and then later Weddington Methodist Church, Bonds Grove Campus. Joyce’s faith and love for Jesus was an inspiration to all that knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service for Joyce at 12 pm, Thursday, April 16th in Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan’s Purse.
