Julio Santana

Julio Santana, a resident of Pennsauken Township N.J., passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022. He was 79 years old.

Julio was a devoted husband and best friend to Gladys Santana, his wife of 59 years.  He worked many years at Botany 500 and Square Industries, both companies located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Jesus A. Santana, Julio J. Santana and daughter Gladys I. Parrilla (Jose E. Parrilla). Grandfather to Vanessa Santana, Ashley Ruiz (Roberto Ruiz), Julius Santana, Michael E. Parrilla and Juliana E. Parrilla. Great-grandfather to Lillyana J. Ruiz, Jaxon J. Santana and Gabriela R. Ruiz; his brother Samuel Santana Ramos and sister, Hilda Sanchez; his beloved brother and sister in-law Nelson & Miriam Tabarez along with many other brothers & sisters-in law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Julio will always be remembered for his kind heart and loving spirit who enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, making his wife laugh and his love of sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday morning from 9 to 11 am at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia.
