Julius T. Shook, longtime Somerdale resident, known affectionately as Tim to his friends and
family, passed away on June 23, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on August 16, 1958, in Lancaster,
OH, he was the cherished son of the late Julius E. and Wilma J. Shook. Tim’s life was a
testament to the enduring power of love, generosity, and a spirited nature that touched
everyone he met.
Tim grew up surrounded by his siblings John, Lora, and Linda. His journey through life was
marked by his dedication to his family, including his beloved children Amanda, Anthony,
Matthew, Eric, Jeromy, and Andrew, as well as his treasured niece Sherry and grandchildren.
His daughter Misty preceded him in death.
Professionally, Tim was known as a diligent Pest Control Tech, a role he performed with great
care and expertise for many years. His work ethic and commitment to his profession earned him
the respect and appreciation of his colleagues and the community he served.
Tim’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives he enriched. He will be deeply
missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we say goodbye
to Julius T. “Tim” Shook, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the memories that will live on in our hearts forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family Saturday, June 29th, from 10 am to 12
pm at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment will be
private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Pets for Vets.
