With great sadness we announce the loss of our beloved, Lisa G. (Fleming) Turney, age 51, who passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 after her courageous battle with Diabetes. She was born in December of 1971 in Indiana, PA to Harold and Donna Fleming and raised in Dayton, PA. She married her best friend and the love of her life, Rich Turney of Magnolia, NJ.
For over 20 years, Lisa was a Loss Prevention Officer for Rite Aid Drug Stores in New Jersey and New York, and a security officer for West-Ward Pharmaceuticals in New Jersey. She received numerous awards for her great work ethic, dedication, and top notch interrogation skills.
Lisa had a deep love for her rescue dogs, Oscar, Ollie, and Zoey who provided endless love and companionship. Lisa enjoyed all things “Halloween” winning an award for Best Halloween Yard Decorations. She was a huge Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed watching her cooking shows. She had a gift of writing beautiful poetry and using her words to express the love she had for her family and friends.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Rich Turney of Magnolia, NJ; father-in-laws, Ken Walters of Worthington, PA, Ron Turney Sr. of Craigsville, PA; her sisters, Debbie Bill (Alan) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Janet Walker (Larry) of Rural Valley, PA, Sharon Chelewski (Dave) of Midland, TX, Christine Fleming of Clermont, FL; her brothers, Rick Fleming (Jan) of Bellefonte, PA, Dave Fleming (Donna) of Templeton, PA, Mike Fleming (Kristie) of Templeton, PA, Ron Turney (Melissa) of Kittanning, PA, Rob Turney of Worthington, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We begin to remember not just that you passed but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
A celebratory gathering of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the ASPCA of the American Diabetes Association.
