Lorraine S. Ruder (nee Sansky), of Mount Laurel, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on January 5, 1953, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, Lorraine's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. After graduating from Bloomsburg University, she dedicated her life to teaching, shaping the minds and hearts of countless students before her retirement.
Lorraine's zest for life was evident in her varied interests. She found solace in the beauty of Monarch butterflies and the tranquility of Long Beach Island vacations with her family. Her love for music and theater provided countless hours of entertainment and reflection. Lorraine was also an avid pickle ball player, enjoying the camaraderie and challenge of the game with her friends in Pennsauken.
Wife of the late Joseph Ruder; daughter of the late John and Simone Sansky; sister of the late Diane Sansky; she was a loving mother to her two sons, Adam Ruder (Tara), Jeff Ruder (Laura); and the best Grammie ever to her four grandchildren, Sean, Aubrey, Brynn, and Claire. Lorraine's presence in their lives was a source of endless joy and comfort, and her legacy will live on through the cherished memories they hold. She is also survived by her three brothers, Danny (Mary Anne), Charley (Lynn), John (Dale).
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, March 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again Saturday, March 7th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)
