Margaret M. Krebs (Peggy), longtime Cherry Hill resident, returned home to The Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 18, 2026. Margaret lived a life marked by love, creativity, and devotion to the Lord, her family and friends.
Margaret was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Reader, dear sister to Charles (Terry) Reader and the late Maryann Reader. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Krebs. Throughout her life, Margaret remained deeply connected to the people she loved, and her family was the center of her world.
She was a devoted mother to Karen, Michael (Colleen), Margaret (Sandeep), and Elizabeth (Geoff). Margaret took great pride in her children and found joy in watching her family grow. Margaret was a proud grandmother to Casey (Sonny), Richard (Candice), Dan (Nikki), John (Carolyn), Victoria (Patrick), Aubrey, Michael, Alexia, Jackson, and Meghan, and her 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her home and heart were also shared with her beloved dog Buddy, who brought her comfort and companionship. Margaret is also remembered with affection by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness and steady presence.
Margaret found her greatest joy in the role of grand and great grandmother, a role she embraced with boundless love, patience, and pride. She was a constant presence in the lives of her grandchildren celebrating their milestones, sharing in their laughter, and offering steady guidance and encouragement. Nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with family, and her love only grew as her family expanded to include 10 cherished great‑grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Margaret’s devotion to her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren was unwavering, and the warmth of her love will be remembered by them always.
Margaret was a talented and creative seamstress with a remarkable eye for detail and fashion. Her skill and artistry were evident in the many handmade dresses, gowns, and photo albums she created for her family and friends. She took great care in her work, and her creations reflected both her talent and the love she poured into every stitch. Her family will always treasure the beautiful garments she made and the memories attached to them, as they stand as lasting reminders of her thoughtful and generous spirit.
Beyond her family and her craft, Margaret treasured the friendships she formed early in life and maintained throughout the years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends from “Club” since eighth grade, a bond that remained meaningful to her for decades. Those friendships were a source of laughter, comfort, and companionship, and they were an important part of the life she built with loyalty and grace.
Margaret will be remembered as a loving, creative, and thoughtful woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She lived with quiet strength, a caring heart, and a deep appreciation for the people and moments that mattered most. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she cherished, and the many beautiful things she created with her hands and her heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her friends and family on Friday, April 24th from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Peter RC Church, 43 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment in Calvary Cemetery will be private.
