Meta E. (Plasket) Weer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Meta E. Weer (nee Plasket), on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. She was 56. Born and raised in Merchantville, she was a longtime Willingboro resident.

Daughter of the late Gordon Plasket; sister of the late Debbie Alm, she is survived by her loving husband of over 36 years, Lance; two beloved children, Lance Weer II (Jessica), Samantha Weer; her caring mother Meta Brownback (Emile); a devoted brother Gordon Plasket Jr.; a step-brother, Dave Brownback (Charlene); the Godmother to Victoria James (Michael) and many nieces and nephews.

Meta loved her family and spending time with them, whether it was a competitive game or just sitting around the dinner table talking. She cherished being a Great Aunt. One of her favorite vacation spots was Oak Island, NC and she held close all of the memories made there. She was an avid Phillies, Miami Dolphins, Flyers, and Philadelphia Soul fan. Her cheering was never louder than when she would cheer for her children, nieces, nephews, or great-nieces and nephews. She loved animals of all kinds, and opened her home and cared for many over the years.

Meta will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
