Stella M. McCarthy of Pennsauken passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was 68. A graduate of LaSalle University, she was born in Philadelphia and a resident of Pennsauken since 1984, Stella loved smiling and laughter, enjoying time with her nieces and nephews (always providing them with a freshly made batch of rice crispy treats), the Jersey shore life, cooking and gardening. Loving and caring, she would always get involved when she saw someone in need but nothing was more important than spending time with her devoted husband.
Daughter of the late Helen and Sigmund Malkowski, she is survived by her beloved husband, Frank of over 34 years; three caring siblings, Theresa Fortunak (Joe), Bob Malkowski (Kathy), Jim Malkowski (Beth); sister-in-law Peggy Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Main St. & Fellowship Rd., Maple Shade. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the church from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
