Thelma Spahr of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2020. She was 92. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Thelma graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1945. Her year book read, “...Spahr can really sling a bat and dribble a basketball for all she’s worth. She won’t be playing basketball for long as she wants to become a bookkeeper. “ She not only went into bookkeeping, she opened Spahr’s Accounting Services in 1970, a successful bookkeeping and accounting business in South Jersey for over 25 years. Thelma and her devoted wife and companion, the late Annette Savard, lived happily together for 62 wonderful years. They shared a love of travel both domestically and internationally, as well as photography, camping and time with family. Thelma was well-loved by her clients, enjoying their friendship throughout her career. She had a kind heart, generous nature and a love of laughter. She is survived by her adoring nieces and nephew, extended family, loved ones and friends.
