Thomas J. McFadden Jr.

On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Thomas J. McFadden Jr. passed away at the age of 65 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara, his father, Thomas, and sister, Kellie. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Merchantville, a 1976 graduate of Pennsauken High School, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband to Teresa “Terry” McFadden for 43 years. Together they raised three sons, Thomas McFadden and his wife, Jenn; Ryan McFadden and his wife, Carolina; and Shane McFadden.

He was a proud Pop to three grandsons, who were his pride and joy: Kaleb, Brady, and Quinn McFadden. He is survived by his brother, Patrick McFadden (Lee Ann), his Aunt Eileen Stallings, as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For the past 26 years Tom, along with Terry, were the proud owners of TNT Pest Control, a business he started with his mother, Barbara. He loved what he did, and quickly became known as the “Bug Man.” He was able to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships in the community with his customers, who became more like friends and family.

When Tom wasn’t working, you could find him at various sporting events, supporting not only his grandsons, but the teams and leagues as well. Until recently, Tom was an avid runner, completing over 25 marathons, slowly, with friends and family. His love for weekend getaways and trips to the Jersey Shore were always memorable, thanks to the people he brought with him.

Tom will be missed by so many for his generosity, his empathy for all, and his overall positive outlook on life. Honoring his request, there will be no services or viewing, but rather a celebration of life, which will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, from 6-10pm at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Road, Pennsauken. Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
