Vilma Mendieta

Vilma Mendieta (aka Tibi), 88 Years old passed away peacefully on May 10th 2025.  Born on October 10th 1936, Vilma dedicated her life to teaching and to her family.

She started teaching at the age of 18 in Managua, Nicaragua. At her High School graduation, Vilma was the valedictorian of her class.  She went on to teach at the University in Nicaragua.

In 1982 she came to the United States, and continued her dream of teaching the Spanish language.  She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Always helping and giving in any way she could.  She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her sister Gloria Ramirez and her nieces and nephews: Robert, Aracely, Rodrigo, Danilo, Marcela, Italo, Juan Carlos, Carlos Andres, Lucia and Maria. And Her great nieces and great nephews: Alexa, Jeremy, Emily, Sofia, Alejandra, Danilo, Santiago.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Thursday, May 15th at Christ Our Light RC Church, 402 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill. Interment will follow in Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
