Matthew R. Gaskill

South Jersey native Matthew Gaskill has been actively involved in the funeral service for over thirty years. As a third-generation Funeral Director, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from York College of Pennsylvania in 2004 and an Associates Degree in Applied Science and Certificate in Funeral Service from Mercer County College in 2005.
Deeply dedicated to the local community, Matt is a Parishioner at St. Peter R.C. Church and Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville. He is Past President and member of the Burlington County Funeral Directors Association, Member of the West Jersey Funeral Directors Association, Past President of Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce, President of the Merchantville Task Force, Merchantville Fire Department, Vice President of the Pennsauken Lions Club, Woodbine Swim Club, Riverton Country Club, Maple Shade Sportsmen's Club, Merchantville Lodge #119 F&AM, Maple Shade-Moorestown Lodge #281 F&AM, and St. Peter Knights of Columbus. He proudly resides above the funeral home in Merchantville with his wife, Mary-Elizabeth, their daughter, Meredith, and their therapy dog, Meg.
Matt also serves as a Death Investigator for Camden, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.
Upon the sudden passing of Jeffrey Brown in 2015, Matthew acquired the business and now continues to provide unparalleled service that families expect in their time of grief and loss. We appreciate the families who have called on our services over the past century and look forward to continuing and constantly improving on a tradition of delivering caring, personal, and compassionate services to each family who calls on the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
